Coworking studios in Cairo
In a basement of a residential building, in Cairo, the challenge was how to conciliate private and public functions in the same space and make it all flexible. This space was divided in two factions. One - to be used as a clinic, a private office, gym, and leisure, flexible so there could happen workshops and other events; The other space - flexible that could be a one-bedroom flat, or a office.
So the idea was to concentrate all the wet facilities (bathrooms and kitchenette) in a central block, which could also work as a divider of the spaces through sliding or pivot doors.
All the spaces have an industrial look, it was selected micro-cement for walls pavement and ceiling. It has an open space plan with glass facades open for the garden.
